I have received a couple of offers. No intention of selling, mind. Just curious. My first drop piece will be framed.

Had to opt for no frame due to lack of wall space. AA does a great job of framing at a very reasonable price compared to framing prices here in the US.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by thecleaner on Jul 22, 2024 17:31:47 GMT 1, I did not go for framing as I like to get that job done in person. Picking a frame isnt something I'd do in "blindness". At a framestore (not sure what you call it in English) you can work together with a professional to find something that fits.
Also. Wouldnt shipping become more expensive? (i didnt check when i had the oppertunity to make the selection).

Mostly what people went for, and why (looking to sell will be part of that I suppose, but I didn't purchase one, so not particularly important for me) Framing where I live is costly ($600-$1000 for a quality job). The AA framing is great and saves me money and time. Gets things on my wall faster.

The AA framing is great and saves me money and time. Gets things on my wall faster. Sometimes it's not about "fast". The frame can be artwork in itself. I've paid $2000+ for a frame job before (I also live in one of the most expensive cities in the world) but 100% of the time it's been worth it. Talented framers can do some truly beautiful things. Shameless plug for my instagram where you can see some of my framed up works.

I think the simple white works well with these so opted for that.
I still have pieces with my framer that I haven't collected and loads of stuff in boxes and tubes. This is a nice way to just get this straight up. I'm trusting them with the framing on this.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Londown 01 on Jul 23, 2024 11:42:15 GMT 1, Thanks for the replies, this is what a forum is about! And great to see the variety of approaches to framing.
I'm quite conservative (boring) when it comes to framing, because my preferred frame is a simple black one. If I had been successful with the Pejac, I think I would have gone that route also, because I think it would emphasise the small black figures best.

If I had been successful with the Pejac, I think I would have gone that route also, because I think it would emphasise the small black figures best. I pretty much go for everything black too. Simple, effective and can suit pretty much any wall.
However, I chose the white for the Pejac as, contrary to you, I thought that would actually emphasise the white figures best: a tiny spatter of black in a sea of white.
I'm hoping that I get a print down the lower end of the edition but was lucky to get one so can't push my luck too much.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Londown 01 on Jul 30, 2024 15:44:27 GMT 1, Just stumbled across a quote from Goethe (to a painter in 1803) and thought it captures the thought behind this edition quite well:
"You do not get to know works of nature and art when they are finished; one must experience them in the making, in order to somewhat comprehend them."

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by thecleaner on Jul 31, 2024 11:21:48 GMT 1, I will probably go for something close to this;
I like to vary a bit as framing complements the art. In this case a somewhat light frame in colors might highlight the tiny figures as stated above. Or at least i hope so. I'm also considering having the print float to create an extra focus effect on the print. As I got two prints I'll go for the same style on both.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by cemltz on Jul 31, 2024 12:38:43 GMT 1, In general I believe the art is the art, it should be presented with as little distraction/addition as possible, and so everything I have is basic white frame, float mounted.
I literally have a wholesale account at a frame supplier because I buy so many white frames...(though from Avant I use their framing, as it is higher quality than I can get for that price)

Very nice.
Is that Donald Judd or Carl Andre?

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by yoss on Aug 1, 2024 16:42:23 GMT 1, So do all of the last tier (8) have the word "hope" finished with the bucket next to the word? I was hoping to have one of the ones with the painter actually working on the word "hope" but I think those are only in tier 7. I think those really stand out as being more unique than the completed word. (Unless maybe something else special is going on with the last tier...)
Now that Avant Arte has released an edition from Pejac, will a larger part of the art community start looking at Pejac that was previously unfamiliar with him? I was chatting with a small gallery owner recently who has the usual stuff from murikami's up to a picasso print and he was not familiar with Pejac. I was a little disheartened...
On a side note...does anyone know if Avant Arte releases the edition total on timed-editions once it completes?
