It would be helpful if Christian Avant Arte / Avant Arte could clarify whether the hand-finished gold leaf (on the figure and elsewhere) was applied by Pejac himself or by someone else at Make-Ready (the printers). I have suspicions that this might not have been applied by Pejac himself and if not, the AA advertising is misleading. Anyone with pre-order information should read this again as it does not say it was applied by Pejac. ๐ค This is why it is important that releases should be able to be discussed.  We will announce the collaboration with all the information tomorrow! Including images and explanation on our website!
I think the real question we all want answered is why are little gold men being painted and not little green men? ๐ฝ

Will it be a gold old fashioned bun fight? Are AA's systems set up to deal with the deluge of bots etc?

I love this concept too, will definitely go for one. For me it gets interesting from edition 376 onwards. Singles are also beautiful, of course the ideal would be to have on the triptych wall number 1,4,10 and with less than ยฃ3000 it also seems great to me. |

Iโm asking about this Pejac print as advertising it as hand finished gives the impression it is done by the artist. It makes a difference to me as I would rather it not be hand finished by Dave from the printers. ๐

I also might hedge my bets with an earlier one. Not sure what everyone is going to be going for.
All in all I am very happy with this release and concept. Gives a lot more people the opportunity to get a piece.

First thought that all prints at the same price looked the same. Indeed better to get #250 than #126 in this case |

Certainly not for everyone, but I think this is another "good job" for AA: relevant artist, good concept, well executed, and though the price for the whole shebang is well up there, there are some more reasonable entry points. If you like Pejac, hard not to like this.
Note to those planning on going for specific drops: drop 1 (least expensive), drop 4 and drop 8 (most expensive) have a minimum of 20 prints from the 125 available at drop...vs minimum of 120/125 for the others. <Insert AA pre-order bitching and moaning here.>
I think picking up a 2/3 and a 5/6 would be a nice diptych and reasonably priced. If you want the full image drop 7 is great, only downside being it does not have the gold lead "HOPE"...

I was a pre-sale person but I decided not to take up the offer. Pre-sale was only for a set of 3 prints. One of the early ones, a middle one and one from the last batch. You couldn't buy just one. And I didn't want to buy 3, especially the last batch that are quite expensive. |
