Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by whob1 on Jul 3, 2024 7:36:09 GMT 1, I blocked the comments on the facebook group - I'm a co-founder of the group. People were/are spreading misinformation (as they are doing on this thread) and the FIRST thing AA told us (who had an opp to pre-order) was to protect the magic and not discuss this with other people. It's a shame this image got leaked but I can assure everyone that the majority of information in THIS thread is incorrect and would encourage ya'll to wait for the official word and announcement from AA and Pejac. It's very unique and cool how they are doing this and the pricing is variable which is great for everyone. And to respond to someone earlier, I'm not sure how limiting comments on a thread that's spreading misinformation effects a pre-order. Spoiler, it doesn't. «Unique»…different is a better description. But it doesnt mean good. If collectors support this kind of releases, there will be more and more, a disservice to an already vunerable print market. Both regarding value and quality.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Wendero on Jul 3, 2024 7:37:09 GMT 1, If you like the image, the artist, it’s a good buy and the triptych on the wall could be very nice. (IMO not of his best artworks).
If you’re buying for flipping it after a month , you could sell it probably at a bit of loss or at cost as many people nowadays is doing here with latest artworks releases of last 6 months.
Buy if you like it.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Wanchope on Jul 3, 2024 8:21:15 GMT 1, They asked it not to be shared in the email and I completely agree and understand why. Pre orders with collectors has always been a thing it’s just down to a few morons who want to be the first to talk about it to ease their egos! One of the many things about pejac that I love is that he constantly tries to break boundaries and with skill which seems to be a rarity nowadays. AA are top notch to deal with so I don’t see how there are any negatives on this thread except those who constantly have a been in their bonnet.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by ubl on Jul 3, 2024 8:29:13 GMT 1, Personally not the biggest fan of these. Find it just a bit bland. I feel like it would be cooler if the 3 images were stacked/layered over each other in 3D space on transparent paper. Now it just feels like 3 copies of the same thing without adding too much visually as it's still a blank piece of paper.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Eton Groover on Jul 3, 2024 8:41:24 GMT 1, As a guess I’d say each print is going to have an increasing number of figures from the crowd gathering.. it will be the crevasse slowly evolving I’d imagine from several figures to over a thousand. Number 1 might feel a bit short changed 😂

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by jimmyman on Jul 3, 2024 9:00:15 GMT 1, very bland and the drawing of herds of people into shapes has been done before.
Anyone asked the question as to why there is pre-ordering for such a large edition? Pejac previously didn't do this for the main editions. they were based on the "lottery" system while the small HF editions were distributed on a more exclusive/cherry picking basis.

If you’re buying for flipping it after a month , you could sell it probably at a bit of loss or at cost as many people nowadays is doing here with latest artworks releases of last 6 months. Buy if you like it. yes, but people mostly don't frame their pejac prints on the wall. They tend to be stored pristine in their wooden boxes. To be fair, historically, a great investment for many on here. They're also large prints (and beautiful) and quite bland, increasing the costs further and wall size required.
Here it's a completely different ball game. 3 prints that should be framed next to each other, and a really huge edition size compared to previous Pejac editions.
A pre-order system was necessary in this case to gurantee some sales and create buzz.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by fordwd on Jul 3, 2024 11:12:40 GMT 1, I for one don’t mind the bigger edition size if it means I can get hold of one.
I had to sell my H20 a couple of years ago as I needed the funds, which I am still pretty upset about. So I will just be content adding a Pejac back into my collection.

It's not hard to get various Pejac prints these days for about the same price, and that's for small/normal edition sizes of about 10x less.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by its all about me on Jul 3, 2024 12:21:42 GMT 1, I think it's the artists that are the money grabbers, isn't it, not the publishers.
I've always objected to Pejac's practice of making people pay in order to enter his lottery and a chance to buy a print of his. I can't think of any other artist that does this.

Lotteries where, obviously, it's possible to vet and cherry pick the applications. Time and time again - most of the standard editions to date were lotteries. A synthetic approach designed to tightly control the market and drive prices up.

I've always objected to Pejac's practice of making people pay in order to enter his lottery and a chance to buy a print of his. I can't think of any other artist that does this. You are 100% right. Its unique! Think this release is (should be) below Pejac and AA standards. Mainly digital ed/1000, very very little HF doesnt make up for that. To advertise and sell it to collectors as something unique and special (living!) is just sad. The reason for this release is probably because people are frustrated about not getting his artworks, Pejac and AA cares, maybe too much. Wouldnt it be a better idea with "Rebellion" (the whirlwind/tornado) ed.150, silkscreen, with all highly HF by Pejac? It would be quality and with an effort.

I've always objected to Pejac's practice of making people pay in order to enter his lottery and a chance to buy a print of his. I can't think of any other artist that does this. That's quite misleading. You pay to enter the lottery by buying a mini print card. Which in most cases you can sell for more than the cost of entering the lottery. On top of that, most the money for the lottery went to a charity. So potentially that's better than simply whoever has the fastest bot wins, which is what it used to be.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by jordansw on Jul 3, 2024 15:41:40 GMT 1, …and to respond to the co-founder of the Pejac Facebook group… if they had a pre-order (which they now confirmed they do 😉) and were seen to be leaking information, then they do run the risk of losing their pre-order. That is why they are trying to stop discussion (not to protect the magic). What you're saying makes zero sense. If someone is stupid enough to have a preorder and also leak of the information via a public forum when AA specifically said not to discuss it then they deserve to lose their pre order. Someone else created that FB thread who clearly didn't have a pre order and I shut it down. So whatever information you had was incorrect.

If you didn’t have the information from AA already (like hundreds of others as you are not unique) then you wouldn’t have shut a thread down as you would be busting to get the info.
I won’t spoil anything before the launch (as I understand how pre-sales work as know exactly the same as you) but it is a real shame that an artist fan group is not allowed to speculate on an upcoming release.
You don’t work for AA or Pejac so it is there no problem if they decide to leak information as they are the ones who put all of the release information out there before officially announcing.

The maths is very different when you compare 1000 editions at around 5K vs. 150 editions at around 5K

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by cemltz on Jul 3, 2024 16:37:49 GMT 1, AA will release the details on Friday. At that point, most of the people on here guessing and speculating will likely say "Oh, I get it," with regards to the image(s), print size, hand finishing, pricing, etc. They may still think it is stupid and not their cup of tea, lazy, bad print, etc. But it will make sense.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Acme Thunderer on Jul 3, 2024 22:43:02 GMT 1, Now Pejac has released this image, the hand-finished gold leaf person should be discussed before people decide to order, especially considering the gold leaf is the most prominent feature on the photo.
It would be helpful if Christian Avant Arte / Avant Arte could clarify whether the hand-finished gold leaf (on the figure and elsewhere) was applied by Pejac himself or by someone else at Make-Ready (the printers).
I have suspicions that this might not have been applied by Pejac himself and if not, the AA advertising is misleading. Anyone with pre-order information should read this again as it does not say it was applied by Pejac. 🤔
This is why it is important that releases should be able to be discussed.

Pejac & Avant Arte - A new print series, by Wanchope on Jul 4, 2024 18:08:02 GMT 1, Wow you really have a bee in your bonnet at the moment don’t you? They have been clear with the release and description and I don’t think they need to constantly satisfy your questions.
