In which case, it may be appropriate to amend the criterion or shift emphasis here โ by discussing the artwork less in terms of "value" than by reference to "level of harm caused".

Thatโs what art is all about isnโt it? Triggering debate as to whether this is appropriate or not, whether it contributes to anything you believe in, whether it is supposed to have value or not.
To be honest, Iโm dubious about the industrial-scale production of MrBrainwash. Iโm also generally dubious about his work which is just copying and pasting other artists work and selling for big money.Mr Brainwash is the archetype of the Instagram artist.
But to me, this very print is the representation of whatโs wrong with urban art today. The fact that such an artist boomed by being what he criticized is an interesting paradox.
And if that is not art, I donโt know what it is. The fact that it triggered your comment is maybe the best proof it this. So maybe that is the positive contribution to the art-historical canon.
