I don't think it's very good, and I wouldn't want it on my walls. I've no idea what you're trying to convey. By all means continue producing art if that's what you love, but I don't think there is a career, or even a small side business here.

Guys, I don't think you are being very helpful. It might be useful to give OP a framework or some valid considerations for him to think.

I think the principles can be summed up in 4 steps:

1) does it have an established market? Obviously, the fame of the artist and an active secondary market is relevant

2) does it fit into the Art narrative? To understand art, you would need to know quite a bit about art history and what other artists are doing as a whole. Because your art draws meaning relative to other artists.

3) does it provide any insight? Does it give a unique perspective? Does it "tickle" the viewer in any way? Or is it old and stale?

4) last (and perhaps the least) , does it seem like it was well made? Like an Hermes scarf, are all the edges well done? Is the craftsmanship good? Or does it smack of something that was shoddily made in the last 5 min?

Hi, it is hard not to be brutally honest, if you enjoy drawing and painting, absolutely do that and enjoy it, but this body of work is akin to high school project work. I'm not sure when an artist becomes commercial, but usually after showing work, getting positive feed back, and making a few sales. Asking this question on an International forum is not necessarily the best place to start. Have a look at other 'new' artists presenting their work on this forum, and you will see a wide spectrum.

Enjoy your art, allow it to help your through your life, but try not to let this feedback stop you from doing what you love.

I hope you aren't considering taking the easy way out. Keep working hard, have hope, and you will be rewarded in some way one day.

Seek some help, your mental health is rock bottom. I see you are in Michigan, try contacting some support groups so you can talk through things, seek other avenues that interest you, keep up the art and consider joining a group, it will help you, but only if you let it. It should not be there to reinforce your negative feelings, but rather a way of expressing them with a view to understanding what it is that hurts and how to move forward. If you are on top of alcohol and drugs, then it looks like finding work is important, have you considered volunteering, just to get yourself back in the company of others and feeling some self worth. Your art is not a measure of your worth, that is something you do for yourself, you asked for opinions, that will always bring comment. If you are as low as you seem, that seems now to have been a way to further hurt yourself.

This forum has the ability to lift a person, as well to break them, so do consider your interactions with it, remember people here know little about you as a person, and you were hopeful for a positive springboard away from your troubles, it's clearly not gone that way.

I believe you will find the help you need closer to home, take care and seek some counselling.

This might be the best advice you get…
