We are talking about a world famous street artist doing a multi-day campaign in one of the world's most heavily surveilled cities. Unless all the work has been completed, he has lost the element of surprise. Of course you are not going to get incredibly complex pieces. BOTI was the same, and I don't remember all these complaints. People loved it. To those complaining - maybe Banksy hasn't changed. Maybe it's *you* that changed.

Thoughts on this? Looks correct to me. The look of the cat is reminiscent of the cat with the ball of barbed wire in Palestine. Rat looks stylistically correct. I'll go so far as to say this looks like Banksy did it with his own hands. |

look, about stencils silhouettes, those 3 ones from BOTI are fantastic as the guy vomiting flowers ( the best one for me ), the Goat is fantastic too, but Iโm not much enthusiastic for the elephants more quickly realized, as the two kids in Kiev playing near the bridge. Not sure that โ Banksy โ made all of them. I like silhouettes. One of the greatest one is Pejac. Will it be another debate.
Anyway there are still great stencilists and street-artists, and that is gooooddd !
Betting for tomorrow ? Gorilla or giraffe.

From BOTI: I did not read any complains, I mean I read some, shorts ones, not so much agressive anyway. Just telling, if everybody was agree on a forum, it would be extremely boring. If you zoom in on the rat the features seem a little off to me and the cat isnโt quite as Iโd expect from B even in a rush. Happy to be proven wrong though, nice idea. |
