I suspect we'll be seeing more of these types of pieces โ by others who are looking to capitalise on the momentum and attention that Banksy's London campaign is garnering.

In the coming days or weeks, keep an eye out for an increased number of sales of knockoffs and counterfeits.
Perhaps via one or two pop‑up stalls of unsigned canvases, with the stallholders being disingenuously coy when asked about the identity of the artist.
Or on platforms like eBay. Accompanied of course by the inevitable, fabricated backstory, along the lines of:
While walking around East London yesterday, I suddenly spotted something odd in the corner of my eye.
Upon closer inspection, it turned out to be this anonymous stencil painting on cardboard, with the words "Enjoy your free art" inscribed on the back.
Now, I don't know much about art, but you can judge for yourself whether it might be by you-know-who!!!

It's a fantastic piece in its simplicity and contains within an easy humour - that's quite a feat and something that Banksy is able to do better than anybody else !

I wish someone would post a proper close-up of the three monkeys - there must be so much detail we haven't even seen properly !

I knew it, these are amazing; so much detail in the fur and facial expressions - all three have so much individual personality ! Very realistic ! Banksy is a star ๐
