Lazarides/POW/Banksy/LA Prints - Question, by jonpud on May 29, 2008 9:41:41 GMT 1, OK, I might be extremely stupid here but .......... If the relationship between Banksy and Laz is terminal and Laz has an interest in POW then does this mean that POW will no longer be responsible for releasing the final 2 of the LONG overdue LA series?
Or was Laz only connected to POW via Artists under his control such as Banksy and Micallef and therefore Banksy can still release his artwork via POW without Laz's authority?
And now that Laz is no longer on the scene who exactly is responsible for the continued delay in releasing these prints?
The whole thing has become a joke now, these should have been released months/years ago, surely it's not Banksy himself holding these back? Is it that Laz still has an agreement for exclusivity to these prints? Will we ever see them or is it possible that Laz could release them at hugely inflated prices as he did with the Micallef Peacekeeper etc!?
I wonder what the f**k goes on behind the scenes, truth is they don't really give a f**k about us, never have done! Cast aside for the man in a suit and the Pop Star! (And Alsbabar! ;D)

That's ok, I realize there has been speculation regarding the last LA print releases over and over again (hence your comment I imagine?) but the whole thing has been complicated by Banksy's fall out with Laz and his reluctance to deal with him anymore, so the point for discussion is really what happens now. I can imagine the reason for a strategical delay in releasing these over a 12 month or 18 month period, but this is now beyond a joke!
It's not as if Banksy hasn't produced some cracking art that wouldn't work well as a print! The Tesco's Flag, The boy with paper bag behind Police Sniper, The angel in Flak Jacket with skull to name but a few! It would be nice to see an official print run of the kissing coppers even!
There's so much work he could have released for us all to enjoy, but here we are still waiting for the LA stuff with only a little Christmas teaser, S&S to keep us going! (And the image of Dorathy with the hang man noose was better IMO!)

1) They always clean up after themselves and never leave Banksy originals lying around.
2)Kate Moss prints are worth sod all and should be displayed with a coffee mug on each! Flying Coppers also deserve to be lashed against walls.
