Denning has recently mentioned that he's had to take plenty of care with his prep pieces now as people want to buy them.
That said, I really like the fact this superb work is done on scrappy folded brown paper.
It's got a completely different feel to how the original which has a blaze of red as the dominant colour.

paints on old bits of wood (and Ikea.). The creases from the folds would have been there since day one. The man is a Genius!!!

I believe Manty had the painting for sale a while back, although I'm not sure if he decided to keep it or not in the end. Definitly one of my favourite prep' pieces and paintings by GD.

The piece is drawn on newsprint, the creases were there when I got them, and I have not attempted to flatten them as they add to the piece rather than detract from them. It really is one of those that has to be seen to be appreciated (unless you are my wife of course!)
