I finally got my hands with a GWB... and I'm absolutely made up!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
Really stuck for how to frame it though... can any give me a little advice?

In my opinion it's best to keep this one simple with a straight white or black frame as the image speak for itself.

Just feel a bit 'let down' by some of the framed examples.
Personally think that Carl is in the right direction.

Both of my Micallef's are in matt white frames, all of my Banksy's are in black frames. But this is one that should, imo, deffo be in a nice matt white frame, with white mount. A frame shoule add to an image, but not detract from it. Having too simple a frame can imo dtract from the image as much as having too heavy a frame. I would go with a nice white frame (you can get wood frames painted white by your framer which are then brushed down with wire wool - looks good) about an inch thick.
Whatever you do, sure it will look the dogs, cos the image doesn't get much better than this!

This is one of those pieces that can easily get lost in the frame because of the amount of white space in the piece. I'd think it would look best with black mat/black frame so that it adds contrast. If you really want to make it look sick then drip some red paint from the top of the black mat.
I'm also curious to see how it would look with a black mat and THIN red frame. Or maybe red mat and thick black frame.
I suggest that one of you donate a piece to me so that I could properly show you what I'm talking about.
