most of you will probably know, POW have added an authentication form, with a charge of ยฃ50 + VAT. I mentioned it in another thread, just wondered what peoples views are? how will affect the secondary market? will buyers require this before purchasing?

Surely they will post something with a stamp and a sig rather than an email, i'd of hoped so for ยฃ50 anyway.

To be honest though I think those of us who bought any of the LA editions/more recent Banksy's should be sent one for free as they really should have come with one. Or at least at a reduced price.

i take it as being a service for people who have older banksy prints they would like to sell, but never kept the email confirmations.
if you have the email then why would you pay 50 quid for an authentication document for something like a S&S?!

has anyone actually ever been banned for flipping a print? 
as long as an edition sells out, what do they care? i'm sure they've got more important things to worry about post sales.

Thats what I was thinking, I'm the original owner of all my prints with email receipt for all of them, would this be enough if I come to sell or do you think I am going to have to shell out ยฃ50 a time, when I already have proof there genuin already!?

I disagree. I'd want one for insurance purposes as much as anything else. Something that proves my Banksy's are the real deal.

ยฃ59 for COA when the print itself (my Morons for example) was only ยฃ250!

I think original owners with emails should stand by their providence. Certificates only become a must if 'we' make it a must remember the POWer of the forum.
If pow reciepts were good enough for the auction houses.
