I think one has to be careful with wording a question like that. Clearly the market for Parla's works is thriving and not in any way related to most of the art which changes hands through these boards or trends that might be relative to it. IMO, everytime a Parla is sold in the public domain, valuations of his work will increase, as demand hugely outweighs supply. I can't see this changing in the near future either. So this would in no way reflect trends affecting, for example, signed Banksy prints or even most artists' originals at this specific moment in time. Parla's work is special and buyers won't become sellers overnight, in the vast majority of cases.

The reason it was asked in that fashion was two-fold. First, while I tend to agree with you that people are not apt to quickly buy and sell Parla originals just now there still is a certain degree of market fluctation based on popularity (of course, I understand that some people will disagree -- that's just my perception and opinion).
And second, the question was also intended to solicit a response as to their current value as you do not see many come up for sale. In my case, I actually have a small Parla watercolour that I have no interest in selling (which tends to support your comment) and was just curious how the price had changed since I purchased it from Elms last year.

Personally I think you're out of your friggin mind to spend more than 15k USD on one but that's cool I'm glad to see people chasing this stuff, means you guys will be well spent chasing all this stuff at Bonhams Urban Art Auction and for me that means less competition to pick up some nice contemporary art.
