Acoris Andipa & Pure Evil at the Tate tonight..., by Pure Evil on Jul 27, 2008 10:38:49 GMT 1, How about the guy responsible form cleaning graffiti and flyposters off the streets of Hackney... ?
I have had him in the gallery flashing his badge like he is Serpico or something , threatening to hit artists with ยฃ20,000 fines and he might have some interesting things to say... it would be boring to have just one viewpoint all going ... 'yeah street art is allright doesnt it look lovely'

Acoris Andipa & Pure Evil at the Tate tonight..., by romanywg on Jul 27, 2008 11:14:52 GMT 1, Be interesting to interview the art police from Hackney that decide what is buffed and what stays up. Coronet Street being a prime example where they buffed a few pieces but painted around other pieces. Are they being art critics now?

Also try and encourage them to leave the doors open overnight to the turbine hall so we can have a cans festival on their walls

Acoris Andipa & Pure Evil at the Tate tonight..., by Deleted on Jul 27, 2008 12:11:05 GMT 1, There is a little bit of me left over from the late 70's that says fuck the Tate Modern. This scene can look out for itself without being hi-jacked. Let them take control of it and you will lose it.
now there is a subject for discussion at the Tate ;D

Acoris Andipa & Pure Evil at the Tate tonight..., by graeme501 on Jul 27, 2008 12:50:30 GMT 1, this topic sounds really interesting, for example, would the council buff a really good piece of art by an unknown artists, because he/she isn't well known, and if banksy did a terrible street piece, would they keep it just because its a banksy ?

Acoris Andipa & Pure Evil at the Tate tonight..., by bullet on Jul 27, 2008 17:53:42 GMT 1, I'd say Bleeding Edge, just to hear him/her articulate their pretty purist views on street art cash-ins. We are talking about The Tate Modern...most of the issues surrounding buffing policies aren't going to be of interest to them or their events committee. Perhaps something about mediums, techniques and influences. Get that Elbow-Toe chappie along! One of the most interesting avenues that actually went nowhere on Friday's talk was Mr Evil's advice on the longevity of pieces selling for 10s of ยฃks painted on rusting found metal.
are you having a laugh?
a hacker who rips people off doing a talk at tate modern about street art.
you gone soft?

a rising American street artist for his/her views on European graffiti styles Pure Evil on being Evil a gallery owner who showcases works by new graffiti artists the Banksy case officer from the Bristol Anti Graffiti Squad the judge who sentenced the DPM crew
and to top it off, an electronically masked recording from Banksy.
