Who cares if Banksy has been exposed? What matters is his art. He could have been male or female, or even a kid or a group of artists. Its the finished product that I admire. Regardless of his social status or education, he created art that made people stop and look... and think. I stumbled on his artwork looking for Warhol. While the style is similar, Banksys work is powerful. Theres not just an image, theres a reason behind it. The first piece I saw was Napalm, and I about shit my pants when I saw it. I only wish my wife would have let me buy one... she hated it!
Im interested in the future. Lets see what the hoity toities of the art world have to say (the people buying the expensive banksys). Were they buying the art for the mystic or for the true art itself. If they were all caught up in the hype, then shame on them. Thats makes them stupid.
If anyone really wanted to find Banksy in the past they could have. LAZ had to sending the money somewhere. The taxman knew, I think its just the artworld having fun.
I think he should step forward and take the recognition he deserves.

The guy in the picture with the spray can - albeit old - is very similar to the picture of this Robin chap, and also of the picture of Banksy from the Rex photo agency. If it wasn't him then why would they have put an injunction against the photographer when it was taken. Of course there's the conspiracy theories that Banksy and Laz are just causing confusion so the reality never comes out but that story doesn't stick. Surely they would confirm the picture is him even if it wasn't him so they could relax and know that some other chump is the scape goat. The mail has given a cogent argument, and there is no counter-argument from anyone I have read that proves otherwise.

He was featured in a BBC2 series called Travels with my Tutu presented by the dancer Deborah Bull who is also featured with Banxy in the Rex photos. More info on Banxy here:
