But if you were the bidder it's interesting to know that since the other guy'd no longer be in the bidding for one of these prints and another came up it would sell for ยฃ1140 not over ยฃ3000. And I still find it odd that a 'collector' would decide to make his first purchase on ebay be a very expensive Parla print, an artist who usually isn't a 'gateway' drug into collecting.
I still see fishy all over this and even if not a seller so many other Parla fanatics seemed to have such a strong and vested interest in making sure that this print sold for a lot of money. I'll still never know what happened, no matter what I read on an internet forum. I'll just leave it at that.

You know nothing about me....i'm not a huge collector, but i have cash lying around with which to speculate....thats all mate.
As for ebay......i bought a jumper from m+s, and a couple of spare parts for my vespa...Now i live in asia and haven't bought owt off ebay for 2 or 3 years....

What confuses me is that you aren't concerned about it all yourself. If it weren't for some mysterious zero feedback winner you would have been able to buy the print at ยฃ1200 and save yourself ยฃ1800.
...this zero feedback bidder with no ebay experience who also allegedly is going to show up in new york carrying around over $6000 cash to buy a small parla print.

I made a .99 auction and let the market decide where it went. There are no 'questionable circumstances' as you refer to. It's just you spoting off with absolutely no facts. I believe the buyer to be legit as I've had multiple contact with him. In the rare case he is not legit, I will either:
- keep my print
- auction it again
- or do a deal with the 2nd highest bidder

Anyway, I said something positive just last night! I think the Kaws show was pretty tight (even though I personally don't want a pic of spongebob or papa smurf on my wall) I still think the show was pretty sweet and I'm not even a big Kaws fan.

He put a huge max bid on which i had to beat....he didn't have any idea what i was gonna bid up to and i had no idea how high his max bid was untill i tried to beat it.
It didn't go up in stages ...when i put a bid on at about ยฃ1100, his max bid was already at ยฃ2700. I could have walked away and all this would never of happened , but i wante3d to buy it for myself..
Like i said b4, i'm happy i didn't win it now as it looks like it could be too much, especially with others around.
But the winner obviously wanted it so bad that he put a huge max bid in....
I really thought this print was gonna be a real battle to win and no way did i think i would have to beat such a high max bid so early...sure with 5 mins left...but not 6 hrs left in the auction.
the people with other prints have offered me it at the same price as the winning bid...but no way now.
Lets see what happens at the auctions...if i can pick one up cheaper great....
If someone bid this auction up , they did it against me....If i hadn't tried to buy this print then it would probably have sold for ยฃ1200 and their "upbidding" wouldn't have worked
But i say again.....thats the whole point of an auction.

He put a huge max bid on which i had to beat....he didn't have any idea what i was gonna bid up to and i had no idea how high his max bid was untill i tried to beat it.
It didn't go up in stages ...when i put a bid on at about ยฃ1100, his max bid was already at ยฃ2700. I could have walked away and all this would never of happened , but i wante3d to buy it for myself..
Like i said b4, i'm happy i didn't win it now as it looks like it could be too much, especially with others around.
But the winner obviously wanted it so bad that he put a huge max bid in....
I really thought this print was gonna be a real battle to win and no way did i think i would have to beat such a high max bid so early...sure with 5 mins left...but not 6 hrs left in the auction.
the people with other prints have offered me it at the same price as the winning bid...but no way now.
Lets see what happens at the auctions...if i can pick one up cheaper great....
If someone bid this auction up , they did it against me....If i hadn't tried to buy this print then it would probably have sold for ยฃ1200 and their "upbidding" wouldn't have worked
But i say again.....thats the whole point of an auction.
