nope, there's history behind it though. something about it not being in the original alphabet. can't remember the story though.
"With, why, when, while, we, the W is the most fascinating letter in the alphabet. It is the only letter created that does not have a word that begins with how the letter W is pronounced, double U. For example, A has the word Asian, the A is pronounced entirely in Asian. The letter B has beetle. The letter F has effort. The letter V has vehicle. The letter Z has zebra, the list could continue on. I realized the letter W does not have a word that begins with the true pronunciation of W, it was as if the alphabet creators could not end on an odd number and decided they needed to brainstorm, in order to discover a new letter."
