Beejoir Immodium 2, by weeble on Oct 25, 2008 22:13:15 GMT 1, I really like Bee's Immodium canvasses, would kinda love one - aesthetically pleasing. But I just cant get past the fact that its a rip off -sorry, possible 'comment' on, Hirst. I have no idea as to the idea behind these pieces, so if anyone would like to express their views I'd be very interested to hear them. For that reason, I cant justify that price. Looks stunning though nervertheless.

I think you already said it "aesthetically pleasing" isn't that one of the qualities that you should look for in a piece of art, whatever your taste is. Not everything has to have an inner deeper meaning, although maybe it does, I just like it for the same reason aesthetically pleasing.

Beejoir Immodium 2, by dotdot on Oct 25, 2008 22:46:00 GMT 1, it's a great idea - great story behind it etc. i was offered the set way back and ferretted around for the $$ before pulling out.
in hindsight i still think lv blows it out of the water and always will...
beej had his finger on it for a bit - then took the foot off the gas...
he might emerge with something fresh as he'd say - but in the meantime lv canvas is at least for me his zenith.
btw re : the dots - hehe i now think patty is actually funnier than immod.

..and I wont even bothering adding comment on that blurry mary joke

Beejoir Immodium 2, by motor on Oct 26, 2008 10:35:45 GMT 1, Beejoir and the whole SOS crew are one of the most down-to-earth people in this scene. Sure, not everything he has produced was a hit however he does his art with a great passion and more importantly, with giving quite a good amount of percentage of the profits to the Mercy Center Charity, he keeps it fresh. Yes he is not a mega-star however it's still to early for him and he deserves much more than your bitching Mojo.

Beejoir Immodium 2, by Simococo on Oct 26, 2008 10:41:30 GMT 1, I think the Immodium canvas is really well executed and I'd really like one of the larger works, its just when they were released at TLSG they were a fortune.

Agree - they were way overpriced. The whole TLSG thing was a disaster for various reasons.

Could not agree more. I never new Chris at all until I got involved with the latest Mercy Centre appeal and he has been a true gent. Extremely generous with his talent and time. I also happen to really like his work.
