Bast Winehouse at giveaway price?, by Francis on Oct 31, 2008 5:33:09 GMT 1, Seller didn't include "print" in the auction title. Will get a lot less bids, since that's what people search for.

Bast Winehouse at giveaway price?, by sfdoddsy on Oct 31, 2008 9:33:38 GMT 1, Don't think you need to. I always search Bast, not Bast Print.
But there's obviously a Banksy forum bump since it is at 225 with some new bidders last time I checked. As one of the early bidders I was hoping to get a real bargain.
I'll be mentioning my auctions here from now on.
Oh, and consider this a free bump.

Bast Winehouse at giveaway price?, by craigf on Oct 31, 2008 9:43:36 GMT 1, I've never used print as a searched term so I don't think that influences ppl finding it that much, although I could be in the minority and wrong

Bast Winehouse at giveaway price?, by sfdoddsy on Oct 31, 2008 11:05:04 GMT 1, Well, we've all buggered up my chances of getting this for what the last one went for, haven't we?
A working link? That's the nail in the coffin.
How about a percentage of the sale price above 77 to everyone who has commented here?
Or a discount on your other Faile listings, which are now languishing in Basts shadow. As they probably should.
But in all seriousness, I think you've done the right thing by starting at $1 with no reserve. That's what I do all the time and whilst it may get a bit nerve-racking before the last minute rush, invariably you get a decent price and often much more than you think.
Heck, I got 240 pounds for an unsigned Faile Bunny Girl with a crease the other week, in spite of showing pictures of the crease and mentioning it in the headline. I even got 107 for a Nick Walker Nozzle that is still available on his website for 50 (although I didn't mention that)
At the very least you get what people think it is worth.
There are 26 Basts (or Bast related) listings on eBay UK at the moment, and only two of them are proper auctions. I will bet that none of the others will sell, with the exception of the very nice and reasonably priced Sinatra from a member here which will attract a decent offer.
So I tip my hat and hope all your auctions get what they deserve.

Bast Winehouse at giveaway price?, by Winter on Oct 31, 2008 19:23:34 GMT 1, Thanks for the comments. I think it is the right thing to do starting at £1 and having a proper, no reserve auction. I agree it is scary and there's no guarantee of getting the price you want but it does mean it sells for it's current worth whatever that might be. That is the choice I have made and I will stick with it.

Me niether and I doubt there's any benefit in listing with "print" in the title, as the print is already itemised as such within the category options.
