Pure Evil Gallery Space EXHIBITIONS, by Pure Evil on Mar 10, 2008 18:51:11 GMT 1, This Thursday sees the first in a series of Exhibitions at the PURE EVIL GALLERY ... some will be upstairs, and some will be down in the basement rooms, 3 dickensian chambers that were discovered by accident about a month ago and are currently being renovated.. Because the main room down there is Open to the elements its a perfect street/gallery environment for showing new art from global street artists...
heres the upcoming show line-up so far...
March 13th 1980 crew Paris : chanoir blonde keuz
March 27th deadbeat donny : Dora from POW and Johnny Stretch rocking it in the basement.. installing things and bringing their unique dystopian vision to the pure evil dungeons
April 3 : PURE EVIL SOLO SHOW NEWCASTLE at elektrick sheep
April 17th : Jack Clifford (scrawl collective) installation in basement space
May 1st : Group show at the Jobcentre in Bristol
May 8th : Martinez crew Barcelona in the Basement galleries Ovni, Tom 14, Pez, Uri, Nuno
May 22 : The Krah in the basement
June 5 : Sten , Romes finest in the basement
June 26 : Tinsel in the basement gallery
July 4 : Pure Evil Show Brighton at the Ink'd gallery
July : Pure Evil Show at Choque Cultural Sao Paulo

If any of you have not visited Pure Evils Gallery in Leonard Street I would highly recommend it  We saw the basement under construction a month or so back, and it looked be be an amazing space for showing Street Art.

He is so gangsta ! sometimes he comes in the gallery and LEAVES THE DOOR OPEN or even sometimes SMOKES A CIGARETTE in here .. He's livin la VIDA LOCA alright.

It is retardedly cool... glitter circus...
do all the letters all with different colourways
mask them all off with tapeand cut all the tricky bits with a scalpel
spray it and them PVA glue it then glitter up the whole thing...
then go OH FRICK I DONT KNOW WHERE ALL THE LETTERS ARE BECAUSE THEY ARE ALL COVERED UP WIH BLACK GLITTER
hold up the canvas to a bright light and work out where they all are and then pick off the masking tape.
FINISHED!!!!
IMPORTANT > do not mess up. If mr cockup comes to call, we aren't at home. If you do mess up then start again sucker !!!!

I got all the dead prostitutes and rubble cleared out and it's no white cube down there, but it IS a kind of fucked up street / gallery space for showing art .
