Where did you hear that from? I hope it's not true as I'm traveling a long way to get to the pre-preview and delaying a trip to Spain so I can be there!
I was told this by the gallery and that several people had offered to buy all originals unseen, but the persons/flippers concerned had been told where to go !

what's with all these new/developing artists charging literally thousands for their work? who exactly is buying it? first solo show and prices are already through the roof, surely it's not healthy

Miss Bugs 5th June Brighton, by sahoria on Jun 4, 2008 19:01:06 GMT 1, will be down there hopefully for around 6! camera guy will be going down for around 8am in the morning and another to interview some people and nice interview with lindsay aswell... deciding on HD camera to bring down and decided on the sony hand cam... the other one was little to big and as the camera man is working up scotland issues with insurance so some of the kit will be arriving via plane in birmingham so will have to pick that up... long day travelling from bristol to birmingham to make the collection but will all be worth it.
hopefully meet again romanywg... camera man coming down will be able to help with the right software etc for editing also. Was lucky to get editor from bbc involved also to cut up the footage...should be fantastic day and if possible be there on the friday for the footage also. hoping people will speak on camera about the artwork etc as i am sure people who cant make it will appreciate views from people.
access all areas aswell so the footage inside the gallery im sure will look stunning. eventually after editing all footage will be available from the ink_d website also so look out for newsletter from lindsay.
actually excited about the show and hopefully meeting up with a few people i met from the nick walker show. make my life easier if camera man could bring along with him lighting equipment from scotland etc but bbc has far to much red tape!

I hate to be the barer of bad news, but I spoke to Ink-d and they expected everything to sell immediately at the buyers preview (prepreview). There was no mention to me of staggering sales of originals or holding any originals back. However the good news is that I was told there will be prints held back and not offered to all at the buyers preview.

if print available on the friday and if it is something to my taste will make sure i get... can understand with the demand for miss bugs not to much will be available come friday. thanks again though for the update as i am sure alot of others who where thinking about going friday might try to contact gallery for the thursday...!... s

Bert, after the publicity MB have got on the forum, there can be no doubt that many of the prints will end up on ebay within days - after all a HUGE number of posters and lurkers use the place as nothing more than a tool for flipping. Plus, I was also told that the gallery is tiny with a capacity for only 80-90 peeps ( just going on what Dan there told me, having never been to Ink-d myself), so it may even be a lot more enjoyable checking the work out once things are a little calmer over the weekend anyway.

I am sure these guys have worked very hard for this show, and i truly hope it goes well for them.
Please dont let it be full of queue yobs and people moaning that they didnt get anything.
I know they are doing commissions again when the show has finished, so if you dont get anything, get on the list is my advice
