As only VVM and I had posted recently before your post.
Ross, it is naive to say i doubt any of you know the facts about the israel/palestine situation so it's all just opinion based on what the media feed us unless you're actually living it? as we are all 'living it' on a daily basis. Look at the hatred around us, whichever side you are on.
If you are a Muslim living in the UK you will get people making comments at you, avoiding you on public transport - especially after the atrocities of 9-11 etc..
And if you are Jewish you have to live with being shouted at on the streets, having your cemetries vandalised and sprayed with swastika's.
So, yes, we are all 'living it'. unfortunately.

Whilst some poor sods for sale thread may not be the best place to discuss such things, the discussion itself is worthwhile and it is good to see some appreciation that there are no easy answers to the Middle East issue, or how artists should respond, or how the consumers of their art should respond.
It's very easy to do the populist thing (in this scene). And thus very hard to make decent art out of it. However, one of the greatest paintings ever (Guernica) did come out of just such a conundrum.
I'm not really into Blek's stuff, especially the David with rifle, but I like it more simply because it is an alternative to Banksy's point of view. Given how Banksy was influenced by Blek a joint work would be interesting.

This resolution has been reaffirmed 135 times.
Its about time folk start educating themselves. Most people think Palestine is bits of the West Bank and Gaza..
