Rich comin from you J, I have never Hyped D* in order to sell anything. In fact I dont think Iv ever over hyped D* at all and in hinsight, I probably got far too over excited for his work anyway!
At least when I sold out, Id had most of my collection on my walls for well over the months you did before you sold out (after much overrated Hype from ur very good self). The difference between you and I Jboy is that I WAS actually a fan!!! Im Jus glad I got fed up of his ethics before his prices came crashing and i made a canny profit!
Im bigtime pissed at the way he has come across the last few months and I for one will never line his pockets with my hard earned cash again. I personally would have been well pleased for D*, with his up and coming success within the world of the hollywood bandwagon of celebs wanting his work had he not trampled over, ripped off and ignored those that had supported him for years.

If all artist, banksy included, wanted to look after there fans then they would do cheap unlimited print runs. They don't do this because it is essential to them to create 'hype' in order to make a living and guarantee selling the next print. Selling art to famous celebs is just part of that machine (so is this forum, silky should get a cut I think)
I personally don't mind as long as I get the odd cheeky print.
