Any word on Faile BIN shipping yet?, by craigf on Aug 24, 2008 9:50:50 GMT 1, I've used Gary for about 10 pieces now. I've found he has a great eye for how a piece will look best. On some I've let him do his thing 100%, others I've suggested an idea and he has discussed it with me and it's been tweeked a bit. There has even been the odd one that I have come up with spec and it has even come back exactly like it!
Float mounting Failes always works, so does framing up to the edges in a nice box frame. I'm not sure on this print yet, a grey or black mount sounds good, I'm personally not keen on a pale blue mount, but this may also work

FAILE HAD ON THEIR SITE! but this happens all the time with faile, i guess they do it on purpose to keep the "surprise- factor" alive...

Ok - a picture which shows the relief effect.
The pressure from the plate has compressed the paper in the coloured areas and there is a definite step. The triangle with the pink shows the effect on the white strip between the pink and the grey areas and also along the upper edge of the triangle by the green (the edge is actually a shadow from the step). There are some other interesting effects from the over-printing but my camera is the digital equivalent of a box brownie so can't show them

no customs charges, $2.73 value & the packaging is second to none! it's their regular tube within a box.
the smell of fresh ink jabbed me in the face when i opened the lid
it's literally the best print i own, i just don't know how to word what i'm looking at
loving the way the ink's been used on the outline of the indian, he's popping off the page
also loving the silver ink used for the truths text & the rogue missile launching helicopter
for those of you waiting, you will not be dissapointed
for those of you who didn't jump, well . . .
