Nola - grey edition , by graeme501 on Jan 5, 2009 14:37:06 GMT 1, it depends how u view it
if u pay attention to the edition run, or prefer the grey colour then its obviosuly worth more, but i feel the grey works no better than the white with the rain coming from the umbrella, if it was black then yeah
i just see it as an extention of the white run, so wouldnt really pay more, or swap my white nola for a grey, but thats just my opinion

Nola - grey edition , by Poppy Sunshine on Jan 5, 2009 14:37:23 GMT 1, My personal thoughts are that I'd like one please. I managed to pick up Nola and VLH for someone else before Christmas and haven't got any myself. Boo Hoo!
I think there's one for sale on the bay in the US at $6k

Nola - grey edition , by klyde on Jan 5, 2009 14:58:02 GMT 1, I think grey looks much better than white. Makes more sense to me.
And the small edition size definitely gives off a buzz of all round smugness!
In years to come I would definitely be more happy looking at the grey edition due to this.
Could well be his last for a good while also.

Nola - grey edition , by Lord Lucas Roham on Jan 6, 2009 10:44:46 GMT 1, Well noted...
Anyone who 'claims' to prefer the white to the grey is kidding themselves. Clearly just a case of sour grapes.
Better looking, represents the original, low edition size and great story behind it.

Oh yes - a gem of an anecdote that one. I lost count of the number of times I was asked to retell the story of the great POW oversell this Christmas. Oh how we chortled.

Clearly because he intended to do a speical edition.
Remember this was going to be released, costing about ยฃ150 more than the standard edition, but when POW arsed things up, they were offered to the people affected, and as a bonus, at the same price as the standard edition.

having read the original email that was posted on here i am not so sure it was ever going to be released. i just figured someone at pow had the clever business idea to appease the unlucky friday buyers by giving them a print, and then the make them feel even better about it tell them it would actually have cost more if they had had to buy it normally.
after all the original was released as an edition of 279(?) which had significance to NO, does 83(?) have any such significance or does it just fit the number needed to keep the friday customers happy?
of course i could be completely wrong, afterall POW would still sell the next wave of prints whether they had done this grey edition or not. it may just be that they are very nice people which is very likely and full credit to them.
does anyone know how many of the multicoloured versions (as per the a/p) were released through laz? and how much they were? would love to see more photos.
