POW Open Day • 2008, by hero on Dec 1, 2008 22:21:20 GMT 1, im not saying anything i have just been told some interesting stuff-i would reckon that they will announce it (if they do) on monday-building on the back of the sucess of the open day-but basically i see it as a bit of a consolation-but not in the way people will think all should make sense H ahem! please ellaborate. we'd love to hear. no point in keeping it to yourself.
the guy that has told me is an accurate source...he would say that "this happens every year-people say its not going to happen" and i think he would say "wait" and i have probably said too much already...i want to stay on his good side

POW Open Day • 2008, by minutewheel on Dec 1, 2008 22:22:39 GMT 1, I love it! I read these theads everyday, and everyday they end up as a slagging match!
Does anyone think you can go down on the Saturday, get YOUR ticket and then go down again on the Sunday and get another - asumming that it is one ticket per person?
(I'm bracing myself now for a barrage of abuse for not reading every page of this thread before posting whats probably be mentioned already- hold tight!!)

Im sure the MI5/Home service & the SB will be present at Willow street getting lots of loverly pics of the masses, all paying homage to the messiah of graf
IM not being entirely flippant here either..

JBoy wanted it because he doesn't like charity or something but that's the closest I've seen.

I understand, however, I will say when someone on this board called me an imbecile but spelled it imbocile, I suspected he might not have been one of the greatest writers of the 20th century.

Still not 100% sure about how it's going to work but so far sooo good. Well done POW, Banksy and all the artists and people involved. As usual, rather than following, they're leading the way. Can't wait.

Much more civilised than bun fights and F5ing. I can use my middle finger for something else.

I'm with you one that. I won't be able to get down there however. If someone can buy me 10 tickets (I'm in a giving mood) then I'll gladly send them the money (paypal, cheque, cash in envelope). That would really make my day - then I could win a Banksy for my Birthday (next Monday).
Any takers? Please?

When I first saw it on the webpage I thought it would be great to take the boy, but then thought it would be carnage. But now I think I'll take him - should be fun.
Makes no sense limiting it to 1 ticket per person btw.

I guess we will have to let the Brits have their day on this one. Best of luck and congrats if you can make it.

POW Open Day • 2008, by digitalkid on Dec 1, 2008 22:44:01 GMT 1, Why would the print be only UK - Nola wasn't only US. Can someone enlighten me on the title Very little helps. What does that mean.
At last after 9 pages a sensible post! As others have replied I will not go over it again, apart from saying Tesco is like Walmart in the US.
'Very little helps' is a cracking image and I'd love (like everyone else) to have this hanging on my wall. Even my Mother will get the point to this print..
Roll on the weekend, can't wait to see the JBAY stencils
