POW Open Day • 2008, by Mobu on Dec 2, 2008 11:43:05 GMT 1, Heard back from Dora and tickets only sold in person so there goes my chance of owning one of these... would be nice if they made 2000 of them so that way they would be nice and cheap. Damn, going to miss an actual piece I really like and which speaks to me.
Anyways, what are the odds of actually getting drawn in the lottery???
1000 people and 100 odd prints. not good

At the risk of being lynched, that's good news for those going down as it increases our chances of winning

I doubt it, they want to raise some money for charity, so i guess they would rather take 20 notes off you rather than just a nugget!
I am guessing though!

POW Open Day • 2008, by darrenrapley on Dec 2, 2008 12:17:37 GMT 1, If it is more than 1 ticket per person, I hope that they limit it in some way. Say 10 per person. I would hate to feel I needed to buy £100 worth of them just to stand a remote chance. I have faith in POW to do the right/best thing.

I've heard as you buy a ticket, Eine is standing by to stencil the ticket number on your forehead to ensure no multiple buys. That is true Street Art.

POW Open Day • 2008, by Neate Michael on Dec 2, 2008 13:26:32 GMT 1, If I understand this correctly, each of the 100 winners will have a chance to Buy a Mic or Banksy... Then the remainders from the editions (at least 400 or so prints) will be sold online at some stage?
Fair enough, but I would prefer 100 winners for each print. 1000's of tickets will be sold and chances of winning will be tiny...
But it's a good cause, so fair play and all that...
I do hope the Banksy print is an edition of 1000.

POW Open Day • 2008, by Gentle Mental on Dec 2, 2008 13:27:45 GMT 1, if this is about raising money, shouldn't everyone around the world join in?
if this is about getting as many people to the show as possible - then there's going be a huge, huge crowd of not art lovers but hard core flippers and their 15 cousins and classmates, no? each with a hope of scoring a 5k profit for 2 days work + plus no matter how big that crowd gets, you won't generate the kind of money you'd with online raffle...
crap... just really bitter...

Girlfriend got one of the quid rooms at the hoxton sat night, so POW Saturday afternoon, Bill Bailey in the evening, wander round Old street area to ease the hangover Sunday morning and back to POW. Entering the draw, but tempting fate, undecided whether I prefer Micallef Bethlehem or the Banksy

Undecided if I prefer the Banksy or the two Micallefs - liking em all actually.
On a completely unrelated note, I just had my first traditional Pret Xmas Turkey Sandwich of the year......oh my God - forgot how much I love them.
tastes like xmas....errr....between two slices of bread.

POW Open Day • 2008, by megaelch on Dec 2, 2008 13:50:14 GMT 1, Regarding the raffle i did receive the following information from Dora at POW by email a few minutes ago :
The tickets will be sold throughout the weekend so regardless of what time you arrive (or which day) you will be able to enter the draw; the draw takes place the following week and we¹ll contact you via email to let you know if you are a winner...
Hope this helps ...

cool so you can just rock up whenever you want and get a ticket. I was wondering how that was going to work. Glad this is under 5 mins walk from home though....

Is there going to be an independent adjudicator?
