POW Open Day • 2008, by robinbanks on Dec 3, 2008 10:07:58 GMT 1, If you're allowed to buy tickets for (ahem) "friends and family" then that just makes a mockery of the 20 tickets pp limit.
I'm sure it won't take Johnny Flipper long to work out that each of his 17 cousins in Wolverhampton would like him to buy their 20 ticket allocation also.
That's why I think it should be unlimited - if you're rich enough and stupid enough to spunk a grand on raffle tickets then all the better for sightsavers. Even if that person wins one their remaining 999 tickets will be void anyway so it doesn't diminish other peoples chances that much.

POW Open Day • 2008, by lastpost on Dec 3, 2008 10:21:49 GMT 1, i advise getting a taxi from gatwick to POW. bargain.
This is the first time I have been forced to speak up against you, but you really are a Class A Bellend.
The person is asking some legitimate questions, which a lot of you can provide some knowledgeable answers to, and you have to take the p**s.
Grow up chap

POW Open Day • 2008, by Happy Shopper on Dec 3, 2008 10:42:19 GMT 1, I can't believe they'd let you buy 20 tickets for someone that wasn't there. Surely that would be daft!
The Eelus print looks great. Would love one of those if they don't hike the price up.

POW Open Day • 2008, by dmandpenfold on Dec 3, 2008 10:55:41 GMT 1, big thread, sorry if i am repeating, it's the age old adage 'be careful what you wish for'. Well we have a lottery, no mention of issue size and some will be available for the unfortunates who cant make it and still love the challenge of a weeks F5 marathon.
20 tickets per person, its going to be a hell of a lot of entries, all the more for charity, great work. Glad to see some new prints from Micallef and Eelus getting in on the action too.
have a great weekend everyone who is there.

POW Open Day • 2008, by Happy Shopper on Dec 3, 2008 12:56:17 GMT 1, Big Edition, low cost, we all win. In reality I think it'll be an edition of 100-200 (Hence "100 or so winners", assuming a few will pick Micallef) and a limited amount on the site later. That's assuming the POW blurb is to be taken literally. I mean, "a limited amount" released on the site could be 1000!

POW Open Day • 2008, by ed on Dec 3, 2008 15:15:12 GMT 1, if you go here:
www.transportdirect.info
you can enter your home postcode / tube station you're leaving from / airport you're flying into and POW's postcode (ec2a 4bh) and it will give you the best public transport solutions around the times you request.
It does mean you're relying on everything turning up when it should, but i use it all the time n its pretty decent
