The initial info released said 50, but then people (including myself) phoned stolenspace and they said 75- neglecting to mention that some would be held back.
So the original info of 50 was correct and SS seem to have dropped a bollock by confusing people.
The response on the forums should have given an indication of how popular it was going to be! If you missed out, you should have tried to get there earlier...but then, with a limited edition, some people will always miss out and be disappointed.
Free beer and cd was a nice touch too.
What wasn't good, was opening late, and then taking waaaaaaaaay too long to process peoples payments. Had somewhere to go and was rather late.
Its an awesome print too so worth it in the end.

I'm just remembering that we stood near the check out and drunkenly oohed and aaahed at everyones numbers on their tubes as they walked away. Stupid, but good fun.
I tried to swap my number 12 for a ladies number 23, but she was having none of it - which is probably a good idea as i have a receipt for number 12....

Yes the line was horrible and took forever but hey - there was heaps of free booze and some great pieces of art.
I had just one gripe - yes I was about 20 people from the front and managed to easily (well besides the long wait) get a print however -
I did notice one guy in particular who, after letting 2 mates in front of him - palmed of 3 lots of £150 pound notes to some spanish looking birds he had with him.
Now if this was payment for the foursome last night then fair enough however it was clear that these young lass's has no idea what was going on.
I think he was the one that it all came to a head with as the prints were running low?? Anyway low and behold I notice a picture posted on the forum with his smug bagging little face on it so I thought it best to name and shame so here goes -

He was the one on the right with the black hair and glasses on his head - one of his drones looking on in the background I think??

I got No44 and know that the guy in question bagged editions that are now up on the bay... W@nker.
Wish i'd seen Beth tearing a strip off em... She's easy on the eye at the best of times but seeing her fired up ;D ;D ;D.
Mind you if he were upsetting her it would have been difficult to resist the urge to step in and sort the bagger out.

Stolenspace Gallery, by reados on Jun 30, 2007 0:25:36 GMT 1, just got back from my london trip, qued but did not get a d face, to be honest it looked a bit tacky on the gold paper, i met a couple of people from the forum, and reckon i spotted a few more of you. openings are never a good time to look at art its more of a social event, the only thing was as a few people have mentioned if they handed out a ticket for each print along the que it would havr saved a lot of hassle and hard feelings. im not really bothered about the print and today i finally got my (well paid for, i could not bring it back on the train) xenz canvas.
