I just had the Faile store page overlaid with a womans clothing catalogue? V strange. Server glitch? Or a new work....!

just had a look at the opus -hush prints they say are like faile. the hush babe print is a massive rip off, but for £80 and and edition of 30(hand finished you wont get a better bargain).
dont like the rest of the hush stuff but the 'hush babe' is really cool.
anyone else like it?

I've been reading through this thread and find it almost incomprehensible that people were being negged for posting details of the Faile release.

I completely agree that every time there is new release from one of the more popular artists in the scene it's utterly frustrating. However details posted on this forum will have made little appreciable difference to the amount of interest in this release and the Faile site crashing.

Despite the fact Faile prices on Ebay have actually been pretty static of late, recent demand in Faile works has been incredibly high. Not surprising really given the quality of their prints. I don’t know how big Faile's mailing list is, but I'm pretty sure it runs into thousands. As others have commented, every single person on the mailing list will have received the emails and been aware of the release, quite aside from the numerous other forums and word of mouth which will have helped spread the details. It's a simple problem of supply and demand.

I think it would be a real shame if we get to the point where people feel they can't or don't want to post print release times or info about new artists they've discovered (unless of course they've been asked by the artist/gallery not to share the details). The very purpose of this place is provide each other with helpful tips and information and to discuss street art. I for one hope it stays that way.

I appreciate that there is a certain percentage of people who read this board and have no real interest in the art. Feeding them with information is obviously counterproductive and prevents real fans from getting prints from the primary source. Though I reckon that the folks who are habitually flipping prints will be signed up to every mailing list there is and more than aware when new releases are happening. Ultimately their whole business model is based on being ahead of the game. While this is a problem which should be addressed, stopping people posting helpful info is not the way IMO.
