That site's gonna be TRASHED. Just this post has gotten thousands of hits! Everyone here is going to be F5ing all day long. Even the people that don't like Faile will be F5ing to try and get prints to scalp. And then I don'ty think there system will update when a product sells out so it will be mayhem with people still thinking they can get a print.

The only twisted hope for the Faile fan is that the prices go up as to make scalping seem like a not so attractive option. Of course that may also make buying seem less attractive. We'll find out in two weeks.

Hello everyone,


Hope this finds you well and enjoying your summer or for those friends in the Southern Hemisphere a wonderful winter.

First just want to thank everyone for such great support over this year. It's been an amazingly busy year for us and we really appreciate everyone coming out to the shows and taking the time to enjoy the work.

We wanted to send out an email to let you all know about a few things happening here in the studio and in the world of Faile:


-> The August Print Release -> AUGUST 15TH, 2007 (11:00 AM ~ NYC) (4:00 PM ~ London)

We have decided to let everyone know the date and time of the release this time around. Well, everyone that subscribes to our newsletter that is. So this is the time: August 15th - 11 AM here in NYC. We will do our best to keep the site on track during the release. If there is a lot of demand the site just kinda shuts down, we apologize for this. We will not be doing any extra editions this time for over-sales. We simply go in order as the orders are placed. For those that fall on the oversold side you will be refunded within 48hrs. - 72hrs. Our apologies if any problems arise in this system, it's the best we can do right now and feel it's the most fair to everyone.

Also we will be limiting the prints to one per person of each print. You can buy multiple prints just not more than one of each. Again the site is not designed to monitor this, so we will do it manually. If this applies to anyone we will refund you for any that go over the one alloted.

We are changing to a quarterly system of releasing prints for the time being. It's just so much work making the new prints that we'd like to focus it to 4 times a year and really make some great prints and then focus on new work. So this means the next print release will be for the Holidays probably some time in mid-late November.

Please check PictureOnWalls.com for a new print sometime in October. Thanks again to everyone who picked one of those up on the last release.


-> Bronze Bunny Boys ->

We'll have a few Bronze Bunny Boys available through the site. These are the same size as the original Bunny Boys. The edition will be of 50. 5 sets of 10. Each set will have a different patina. The first set is a rich brown, traditional bronze patina. Keep an eye out for those. We will have some more available during the Holiday release through the site or available through Lazarides Gallery.


-> Faile Site Update ->

The Faile Site will finally be updated in mid- August. We know it's been awhile, but we've been busy. Not a major update but it will finally catch us up to date on shows and newer works.


-> Upcoming Shows ->

We will finally be slowing things down a bit to start on some new works for 2008. We will still be painting and printing but we are really trying to take some time to devote towards a new set of works for some shows later next year. We will keep everyone posted on things as they come together but we're going to lock ourselves away here in the studio and really focus on some new works.


-> Meet Matt ->

Just wanted to introduce Matt to everyone. We have a few great assistants that help us out in the studio but as we start getting busier and look to spend more time on some newer works we've brought someone on to help us keep up with emails and logistics. Matt's a great guy and will be answering some of the emails and helping with the Faile store. You can always write us directly. We will always read each email and try to get back to you but Matt will handle a lot of this too. Sorry to those of you over the last few months if we haven't gotten back to you. Just been a little crazed.

POW - For the sake of everybody's mental health, please, please, please start communicating with your customers in this way! People will really take well to a new and improved POW, trust me. The only reason I can think of for witholding release date is too get more hits on your site. People have clocked onto this and are getting very frustrated. i feel that you will be much more respected if you changed your ways.

If it were a usual Faile run of 15-20 then no-one would stand a chance anyway. It'll be interesting to see if they'll bump up the edition sizes or have an unsigned run. Part of the whole Faile appeal is that every print is unique due to them being hand finished in some way. If they change that the sheep will still buy in their masses but artistically they will be appreciated less.

You try go and do someone a favour and people go out and hit their neg buttons.

I have it from the horses mouth that it will 20 to 30 prints in edition sizes of 10 to 20!!!

There will not be much time to review and pick the one(s) you like. I think under these circumstances a preview would have been a good idea 3 hours prior to the release to allow people some time to decide which prints they like or don't like.

I think it is going to be chaos!
