Micallef (Yet Again), by shavemysoul on Sept 17, 2007 23:13:50 GMT 1, I love Peacekeeper. I think it's a beautiful image. True enough, it is a little older an image than the others and older than we may well expect from Antony. But I disagree with those who've argued against this image on those grounds. It is fair, that the fact it's older may say something negative about Antony current working practice. However, the print, I still think, is amazing and it being a little older doesn't detract from that.
I really can't decide on the other three. I'm not as taken on them as I have been with much of Antony's previous work (which, very often, has immediatley stunned me)...

Micallef (Yet Again), by Oliver Garland on Sept 17, 2007 23:15:03 GMT 1, well I like them and am going to try to get all of them, I think peoples expectations of him were too high and are disapointed because they weren't blown away like when he first came to light. There great images that are in the style that brought him into the light. His show will probably be mindblowing. But I do think these prints are cool and will look nice in my small bedroom.

Hehe...
In all honesty, I really like each and every one of them. This will be my first art exhibition (being not much happens in Arizona) and I couldn't think of a better show to see. Even though I love these prints, chances are that I wont buy one, as 2K+ usd for a print is out of my league, there is just no way I could pay that right now.
But, very excited to see this show.

Micallef (Yet Again), by rob123rob on Sept 17, 2007 23:27:25 GMT 1, I would be happy with any of the 4 prints, though when I first saw the JPEGs I wasn't excited. Like everyone else I like PeaceKeeper very much, but there's something about Improvised Min. that's growing on me.....I think in the near future that could be the print that a lot of people are going to regret not getting on Wed.,..as I think people's opinions of that print are going to change quite soon. yes, it's too masculine, the muscles are too much, the Panic in Disney lettering is unnecssary, but overall it's still quite good, and like it's been said before, would look amazing on a wall next to 21CL. So, hopefully, fingers crossed, I will be able to snag one of the Improvised prints from the overseas email pool....

Micallef (Yet Again), by pezlow on Sept 18, 2007 8:46:59 GMT 1, As I said on another thread I don't mind them. But there are other artists I would rather spend my money on. I have two small children and I really don't want them growing up exposed to pictures of guns on my walls. They will see enough of that on the TV and in computer games as they get older.
