It would take nothing other than a few mouse clicks to convert his current artwork to black and white, output film, burn a screen, print, and makes tons of money with very little effort.

being a poor london student who doesnt have a grand to splash i would be willing to go and que to get one for someone with a little bit of cash for my waiting... anyone?

Micallef POW Prints, by verbalkint on Sept 17, 2007 20:56:26 GMT 1, how do you know theres really going to be a Micallef release from POW? is it just bsed on whats written on their homepage? cos that info hasn't been the most reliable in the past. when i saw it my first thought was that it was something to do with the Laz release, and i don't see why they would choose to release at the same time as laz. also, i would have though that some of the POW crew might be helping out at Lazinc/micallef exhibition so they could be shorthanded so again hardly the best time for a big print release. Same time as LAZ to prevent the Flippers!! Steve Laz HATES with a passion the after sales market!! Well known fact!!

i think it all depends on the reaction to his show. in the end of the day most of the price inflation of his pieces is due to the anticipation of his LA show. if its great, interest and prices could rocket, but if its crap, it could easily go the other way.
i'm sure there'll be some great stuff at the show, but then again you would expect the expensive prints to be of his strongest pieces, so maybe that doesn't bode too well for the show as a whole.

I think you're right, with 200 of each ( minus what are being put aside for internet sale ) That's the best part of a million for half of the prints. I'll be interested to see how it goes but as I don't want one of these enough to put it on my wall I am giving it a miss. As for the POW ones I'll see what is on offer and if (when) the system crashes again I'll see what's available when I get home from work!
