To be honest the list of "x" got robbed by "x" could be endless. It's not about nicking an idea or process it's about inspiration. Being inspired by a style or approach that you like and adapting it to fit your style is nothing new. Long may it live because that way you see an artist and their work evolve and, in some respect, stay fresh. Almost every conceivable idea for something 'new' has been done it's how you make an old idea exciting thats the important thing. Look how many stencil artists there are because of Blek and we certainly wouldn't be discussing the whole idea of getting 'robbed' if it wasn't for Banksy taking stenciling and putting his own mark on it.
I see it as a sort of unofficial collaboration between artists and I for one would be flattered if another artist was inspired by a process I used and created something new.

Most of Shepard's Art pieces use pasted colour variations of the same image, ripped so they show through each other. Take a look:
