NICK WALKER - THE EMPIRE'S STATE For Sale£5k, by volvic on Jan 15, 2009 13:46:18 GMT 1, I am going to cut it down 100MM each side.... and go for a custom frame job and have paint running off the frame onto the empire state
i would be interested to see how much these go for on ebay.com vs ebay.co.uk i think it would make a difference to resell to a new yorker vs someone in the uk who just wants the print for his NW collection...

No idea on prices but speculating like this and putting high values in will only push up the percieved value for the flippers!

Funny watching people offer them up at 1.5k when they have multiples anyway

I dont think me posting that on here is gonna determain what flippers put them out for, the buyer always creates the secondary value in the end. I only asked as people expected the Ratatouille to go up in value for the future and look how that turned out. I hate talking about prices but i thought id see what you guys thought. Iv been possibly offered one at a price and dont want to get dooped, thats all.

NICK WALKER - THE EMPIRE'S STATE For Sale£5k, by dh on Jan 15, 2009 14:15:20 GMT 1, Ratatouille is not the best of his work, TMA Bristol is still over a grand and even Hollywood is well over cost. The Empire State is better than the rest of Nicks prints with the exception of TMA London in my opinion. I think Black Rat priced this print far to low and have created the usual hype which encourages fans and non fans (flippers) to selling them on for a large mark up.

HaHa I'd use a large butcher's cleaver, it will be more fun.
Good idea though as the white borders are FAR too large on all the NW prints.

The only indicator of price will be if any hit the online galleries before they get to ebay. I'm surprised that AR dont have any for sale yet. And i totally agree its Nicks best work since TMA London and demand will be high.

Agree there, this to be honest is my favourite of Nicks work yet with London being 2nd.

NICK WALKER - THE EMPIRE'S STATE For Sale£5k, by curiousgeorge on Jan 15, 2009 14:45:17 GMT 1, Ratatouille was hyped up here, and given the content (the said to be on-going feud with Banksy) this provided even more interest in the print, compared to average/other releases. And even with that the prices still tumbled real quick

I reckon a lot of people will be looking to sell these on quite quickly - either flippers looking to make a quick profit, or art lovers looking to fund something more desirable. At a guess, I reckon these will start at £1,500ish but will soon slip down to the £800 mark. I personally think that they won't go as far as cost (as with Ratatouille)...
I personally wouldn't pay above cost for one of these.

I don't know, it might go for less. People in the UK are definitely crazier for this guy than people in the US. But eh, there's no accounting for taste right.

Not as long as Banksy has been using rats!
It is a SERIES and there are many more iconic buildings worthy of the treatment
