Yeh, he's dropping 1000 pieces but I reckon a lot of those will be stumbled upon accidentally by those going to work and the likes. The centre of London is a massive place so trying to hunt them down, even knowing the areas they might hit, won't be easy. I'd love to think I'll make my way to the big smoke, spend a couple of hours walking the streets with a sharp eye and go home with my first Neate but in actual fact I can see me running round for hours on end getting very annoyed, wet and hungry and going home empty handed and having to put up with an angry boss the next day.
I'm having second thoughts already

All the best with your treasure hunt mate. No doubt you'll know Lambeth quite well so may have an idea of the place they're likely to hit.
Let's hope the weather is good. Last thing we want is all that work getting ruined in the rain or blown down the street.

Then I found Banksy and well, 6 months after that, I found here! I'd love to be in London, to wander round the streets treasure-hunting for my first Neate. However, even just knowing that he's doing this again, is enough to remind me of my initial interpretation of him and my introduction to this scene, which is cool. I think it's pretty clear that some silly people will be flipping them this time around though, so maybe, if enough are online, it'll still be possible to find something affordable! (probably not of course)

Ideally, I'm sure, he'd like each and every piece to go to a 'fan' but those that don't will probably end up on the bay and so prices will most probably drop, ultimately with his work ending up back in the hands of his 'fans'. Win win situation maybe?

I would be very, very wary about buying any of these on ebay. Very excited about this, even if I don't find anything it's gonna be fun!! I reckon the press are really going to get hold of this story, especially the London press. There was an art show quite recently where all pieces were given away which had people camping out. Even that was live on the BBC. By the time Friday hits there will be seriously large amounts of people hitting the streets. For many they will see this as an opportunity to pay for Christmas with a couple of ebay sales.

I know I'll kick myself come Saturday when I see photo's of what people have found but pulling a sicky, taking a 500 mile round trip and trying to find a needle in a hay stack on a wet day doesn't excite me that much. Saying that, potentially having a Neate on my wall does ;D

Aswell as other London delights. It will be a great day, meeting forum members half asleep on the lookout. The mad dash as one is spotted. A day to remember regardless of a find.
As many fans as possible. Art for the people not the gallery.
If anyone would like to join me. I will be starting at 7am from Camden town working my way towards Lambeth. On Cycle bike or foot. No experience needed just a love of neate and skunk weed!
