the hair is ala rsp (though not 3d) - interesting piece.

Maybe because people didn't like the image? You don't just lay out 40k cos it's a Neate. You have to like it too.

Also,. 37k is what it reached in the room, add another 20% and thats what the highest bidder would have had to pay. The seller must have had a 40k reserve which would have probably meant he'd have broke even with commissions if it had reached that figure. But it obviously back fired and now he's f**ked. He obviously bought it in october to flip it straight away and got burnt. I thought the card was too thin also for my liking.

The picture actually looks better than it does in the flesh in my opinion.

I just think this one is relatively weak as Neate portraits go. I prefer all the portraits in the current show to this one. I Also find the proportions of the shoulders/body compared to the head very odd.
