And even the people who didn't pay alot may have a hard time coming to grips with reality now and not want to let it go for cheap.
But I agree with you, I'm buying as much as I can afford right now. It's a great time to negotiate and find great work at good prices.
Myself included, running a small business in these times are hard! Until the f'ing banks start to lend the money we have lent them we're all in trouble imo (But don't want to start on that!) I can't stand that we gave free money to banks. Especially now that they are still cutting peoples credit lines and increasing peoples interest rates. It's astounding.
I know that many galleries here in NY (and elsewhere) are pretty desperate to sell things and many have also been renegotiating leases with landlords since the real estate market has deteriorated. Can't hurt for asking junkie if you're paying a lot...
