Nola POLL who got one?, by klyde on Nov 21, 2008 0:34:16 GMT 1, I hit the buy button but the screen froze. Probably the same story for hundreds of people. It loaded about 3 seconds later to say SOLD OUT. Lots of refreshing later but the buy button didnt appear again.
Its a shame POW released it in this way. Would have been better if it was a straight email, and website update at the same time. Saying "released shortly" is just asking for trouble/server overload and wasted time for everyone.
But I suppose they are the bad guys whatever they do in the eyes of the disappointed masses. They are gods to those that bagged one.
As long as the editions from POW are relatively small and the prices are way below what people are prepared to pay on ebay, this will always hapen.

Nola POLL who got one?, by snapwolfe on Nov 21, 2008 11:15:17 GMT 1, i thought i was out of luck when i read the pow email and knew i had to go on a photoshoot. i was refreshing what page i could on my cell all the way to the set. there was an open wireless signal where i settled, so i set the browser to auto refresh and tried to keep an eye on the screen, which is difficult when you are handling your shoot and also watching the lingerie shoot across the way. i just so happened to look at the screen as the nola image appeared. i sprinted across the room, ignoring all the other people on set and hit that buy button. while people were asking me what is wrong, i continued through the necessary steps, ignoring them. when it was all settled, i did a little dance, turned around and returned to the job at hand.

Nola POLL who got one?, by JonW on Nov 22, 2008 7:08:47 GMT 1, Its funny, I sat there on a slow connection and F5's for over 3 hours, and it dropped at 3am my local time. so it can be done. Id always assumed Id never get one as I missed all the others the past few years, but with persistence you can get one. Im chuffed as hell.

Not sure if you woul want it to auto-refresh can u imagine if you saw the buy button, then your browser refreshed, sold out! OUCH!!!

Just had a few pages open and saw a basket buttons on a couple of pages. clicked add to basket and then moved to another page whilst that one loaded up and in the end I had one! What always worries me is how close the remove from basket button is to the proceed button, wonder if anyone ever clicked the wrong one?
