Upfest • Street Art Graffiti Festival , by Karl Read on Jan 3, 2014 22:12:43 GMT 1, Gutted it's not on this year. Was just thinking about it last week actually, thinking about painting there this summer. Like others of said, a well deserved break and I'm sure everyone can't wait till the Upfest 2015.

Upfest • Street Art Graffiti Festival , by UpFest on Jan 4, 2014 0:38:30 GMT 1, Hey all,
Thanks for all the kind comments, the team appreciates everyones understanding, it's been an amazing six years and yes we never thought back in 2008 that we would need to take a year off because it has got so big...
Feralthings, the total for our nominate charity Nacoa - The National Association for Children of Alcoholics is over £25k (around 27k we think), equally the festival has raised the profile of charity and the lengths they go to support kids effected by alcoholism within the family. Like us they're not anti-drinking, just the effects of excessive or daily drinking can have on family life.
If anyone has they're favourite photos from Upfest over the years it would be great to see...
Churz from Brizzal...

Upfest • Street Art Graffiti Festival , by Agent Provocateur on Jan 4, 2014 13:16:38 GMT 1, Congratulations on everything you've achieved over the last six years; I can completely understand why you'd need to take a breather for a year. Just out of interest, do you know how much you've raised for charity over the years? how's about trying to get hold of that huge derelict building right by the station!? Would look great dripping in paint. See No Evil tried to get the building for the SNE2013 and didn't get anywhere unfortunately. It would be a far better first sight for people arriving in Bristol on the train if it was painted but it doesn't look like it's going to happen. There's some fantastic work inside but it's been almost untouched since 2005-ish due to the 'enthusiastic' on site security. Here's some Sickboy from back in the day: Cheers feral, liking the sickboy (love the hand bottom right), bet there's some great stuff in there. At least SNE13 tried, it would make a great venue.

The top one is also Richt (the pointy mountain bits in the Mr Jago piece) and the second one is 45RPM (with shout outs to Cheo and Soker). Your turn to correct my mistakes now...

Anyone got a photo of Smug's Yoda he did one year?

Indeed. I think it was at the first upfest that you spent ages painting with the kids, including my two. You were very generous with your time Rose. Thank you.
