Banksy "Very Little Helps" Print, by Agent Provocateur on Dec 29, 2008 23:40:07 GMT 1, Hey Neale, I took mine down to John Jones 2 days before Chrimbo... I'm paying a whack for it but wanted it to be perfect. It's going to be ready on the 12th... will def post pictures when done (hope the frame Police aren't watching!). It's going to be a narrow dark walnut box frame, graphite back board and spacers with the print floated on another smaller board so it looks like its suspended on nothing (and all totally conservation etc)!!! Can't wait

All I can say is their service, knowledge and ability is like no other framers I have ever been to. The only other thing I got framed with them was a an original (rare) Star Wars poster a fair few years ago!
Here's a teaser because I took a few pics on the phone when finalised  The finished frame should be <insert swear word here> amazing ;D
This was the Star Wars one... and that's over four times the size!!!

I've gone and spent a bit more, but it's my first Banksy and really special to me so stretched my budget to get exactly what I wanted. Some people are well within their rights to say I've wasted money, but I really think framing is subjective and wanted peace of mind ;D

THere is a fantastic film / poster shop near my office. Its in a small alleyway off of charlotte street W1.

The print should really sing out of the neutral earthy colours. The cost is in the knowledge, craftsmanship and style of the finished detail, not ott frame or triple mounts. Sorry to repeat myself, but I agree the frame shouldn't shout louder than the art... but I don't think there's anything wrong with occasionally paying for quality

It is a film poster, just done in the style of a paste up! It's meant to look like an old bill board in Mos Eisley or something... old posters revealed behind newer differently styled ones.

I get what you are saying Jboy but have you seen John Jones framing in the flesh? There is something extra special about it. That doesn't mean it is fussy but just that it is of the highest quality. Of course you pay for it but for some pieces it is worth it.

His Star Wars film poster looks great in the flesh and I can't wait to see the finished VLH. John Jones' frames are in a different class. You only have to look at the Adam Neate's in the recent Elms show to see the outstanding quality and craftmanship to see what I'm taking about. I suppose it's like buying a suit from Burton compared to a tailor made one from Saville Row. I would personally spend a little more if I was lucky enough to have got one of these (or any Banksy for that matter). For the sake of I few more bucks, I would rest easier knowing my print was in safe hands.

when the vlh was taken in, it was the same day it arrived and he said he had already got a vlh out the back and that was his second one. the day before he had framed an applause, and they are huge.
he knew how to handle them as he had been doing it for 5 years (just banksy stuff)
he is based on clerkenwell road up near magma
