Banksy "Very Little Helps" Print, by overend on Nov 16, 2020 12:11:37 GMT 1, So having received in the vicinity of 20 or so humorous messages from Steve Perkins/Positive/Davidm/arty-type/Claire over the last few weeks there are a couple of recurring themes that seem to plague his ramblings. 1) Obsession with phalluses. In the majority of messages David really seems to love talking about 'members' in almost a Freudian manner. His rarely makes it through a message without resisting the urge to use the words 'dick,' 'cock' or 'p*ick.' 2) Noses. Maybe not quite so phallic but David also hates people sticking their noses in his business on a public forum. He brings this up in almost every message too. 3) **'s. Now I'm not sure if David chooses to use **'s as a polite way to dilute his potty mouth or whether this forum automatically inserts them but they seem to appear regularly in his messages to me. 4) Emojis. David is a big fan of sticking emoji's in his messages. This always strikes me as slightly odd as presumably David is a fully grown man? I guess sometimes when you're struggling to express your anger an emoji is the only way forward. Now I apologise in advance if 'Lab' really is a new member who has got caught up in this but if you have a look at these themes and compare them to Lab's messages there are certainly a lot of similarities to say the least. It's also interesting that on David's previous controversial thread here: urbanartassociation.com/thread/166505/banksy-silver-flags-salehe claimed that 'Steve Perkins' wasn't his account and that is why he was trying to talk up the price of the item using his 'Davidm/postive' account. He seems to have somewhat forgotten his choice of lie here as he now regularly messages me as David from his 'Steve Perkins' account. If you had done your homework before posting and looked through this sales thread, you would have found some good examples of how to post a sale correctly and more importantly how and how not to respond, certainly in public.
I've found over the years, you need to be thick skinned, if you want to use this site. There are plenty of people who will have a pop just for a laugh but you just need to let it ride. Its a forum and people are, I believe allowed to post what they want, within reason.
If you dont like it, I'd suggest you take it to an auction house. They'll gladly take the print off your hands...and your money

So if you are trying to impress people with your signed print....you've failed miserably. You are of course correct David. I joined this forum in Sept after a few months of lurking.This was weeks BEFORE you got caught out for hyping your own sales thread with a secondary account.
So it appears as well as having a 'tichy dick,' I'm also psychic. I guess you win some and lose some.
As I've explained to you via numerous (and polite) messages I have no interest in trolling you. I just feel like other members should be aware of people who are being purposely deceptive by having multiple accounts (which you have already admitted to doing.)

I doubt it, if you're a young teenager today you've never known an 'affordable' priced Banksy print. Maybe some teenage flippers who've mad a buck or two on Yeezy's and want to go up a level in terms of reselling....a stronger maybe. In reality it's probably some chancers who don't want to share photos/information publicly as it'll be scrutinised for being a fake sales thread (using others pics etc). Doing that in private they have more chance to suckering someone who is less knowledgable/hasn't access to people to soundboard acquisitions off. |
