Faile did really well in the release that these stencil pieces came out in. The market was at its height and the dollar was really weak.

The market has dropped considerably since then and the strength of the dollar has improved. I can't see the first one selling at the price alsbabar wants for it and it will be interesting to see what the other makes.

Faile will need to reduce their prices for the march release considerably or alternatively if they keep their prices the same accept that a lot of stuff won't sell.

Personally i love the stencils.
I dont own any... but think they are a cool addition to Failes works!
Always a touch concerned about the ENORMOUS borders though.

Agree, that framing works really well for me too.
I was selling mine (FL) before Christmas but I am so glad I didn't at the end. It is now
one of me favourite pieces.
Currently at the framers but will have to see them again and use JFury style instead.



They could always make pieces somewhat smaller (like that did with some pieces in the 2007 release).
That way they could lower the price without going against their previous pricing.
However I don't like to speculate too much on what artists should and shouldn't do.
We will see soon.

Personally I think there is something special about the stencils - the brush strokes, the overspray, .....etc
You, however will say, you would say that, as I have one!
I am very happy with it too. Value - couldnt give a monkeys - it's only relevant if you are buying or selling.

Coach. wise words.

Here is mine. As you can see, the acrylic is laid down on top of the silk screen and then stencilled over. It makes them all originals in that they are different even if they are the same style/image.
Have a look at the white acrylic on Coach's and then Mine to see the difference.

I bought the stenciled Perfect Bunny Girl in the last release. Its one of the Faile's I own that I'm definitely holding on to because its so hand-made and there's loads of texture in the layers of white and black; and lots of black-on-black detail. As coach says, the value don't mean nothing.

I contacted faile as my little girl loved this, as she kept on saying it was her. her little bunny is her friend she carries everywhere, and when they contacted me saying they had one, I knew we would keep it for a long long time. Just a great powerful image imho. sorry to keep on showing it!!

Personally, I absolutely love those black on black stencils. They're really unique and have a lot of pop.

the dank one...superb prints...the holy grail of faile's work in my opinion and so much more impressive than the stencils (as impressive as they are)

out of the two i'd take the top one (orange & pink) every day although i wouldn't turn down the green if you want to send it my way!
