Any one got an earlier Banksy Canvas than this?, by finipi on Oct 4, 2006 22:00:16 GMT 1, Bought for 500 quid in 2001 from Banksy/Jamie Reid Exhibition at The Arches Glasgow.
Spray Paint on Emulsion on Canvas 1.5m x 1.5m
If you are sharp, you'll notice that Highways is spelt Higways. When I pointed this out, the story from Steve (who then went under the name Timebomb Management) was that back in the day Banksy was actually worried about being sued by the real Highways agency so mispelt it on purpose. Not sure I believe that, but it means that this is totally unique. Every other version I have seen has it spelt right. Can anyone prove me wrong??

I'm pretty sure it was a mistake because he mentions it in "Wall and Piece" saying that later versions of the stencil (e.g. San Francisco) had the corect spelling. Not sure about the spelling for highway though.
