Nick Walker - 2008, by leumasdarnley on Dec 30, 2008 0:01:37 GMT 1, Love Nick great guy I think his personality as well as his skills will keep him on top of the curve in the end. But he is right in 20 years who will be remembered? Its hard to say lots of good artists but being good doesn't really mean anything thousands of technically wonderful artists never even catch a break. Looking back at this era I see minus Hirst who I feel is not part of this group:
Banksy Nick Walker DFace Shepard Fairey *more I think about it I guess he is part of this Faile maybe Blek maybe

i apologise if i'm wrong but i doubt banksy aspired to be an artist because he witnessed blek's work

Nick Walker - 2008, by scavos on Dec 30, 2008 1:21:47 GMT 1, Interesting post silky. This time last year I'd just watched Nick Walker spray a couple of pieces, including a superb butterfly outside the 12 days show. I was in awe as I held up the huge blue tarp with a big piece of boarding while he worked his magic. It was an honour to watch him work. He was an absolute 'gent'. I totally forgive him for not saving me a Life's Too Short print as promised, especially as it turned out to be the event it was, with so many people queuing overnight for that release. I ended up getting one in the end by digging deep on the bay. I wake up to see that print everyday framed to perfection by mrframerman. It means all the more to me since meeting NW that day. Good luck to him for 2009 - not that he'll need it.

Nick Walker - 2008, by dbnetherleigh on Dec 31, 2008 0:39:18 GMT 1, Totally agree - don't think hes lost it at all in terms of wide-ranging appeal, but I'd be worried that a complete change in direction would be a mistake - the common themes in different images is part of the attraction for me. I'd certainly not complain at a few more TMAs.....
