I'm really sorry to everyone who made the effort to make me some great offers. I can safely say that nothing I've ever posted on this forum has generated quite so much interest. It's been quite an afternoon.
In a couple of weeks I should be able to post the spectacular piece I'm buying with the proceeds and I'm sure you'll all appreciate why a cash deal was going to win out in the end.
These are now both sold.

Unfortunately it may need to go back as the varnish wasn't dry and it looks like there's a glacier moving across it very slowly at the moment. It's currently hanging upside down to see if it corrects itself. No big deal. Varnish is easy to fix, but it means another few weeks without it
