insurance in shared house, by mattlan on May 27, 2009 12:09:36 GMT 1, Hi, i live in a shared house with a print in my bedroom i'd like to insure. i have no lock on the bedroom door or anything like that. my question is say if one of my house mates leaves a window or the front door unlocked etc and my print where to get nicked, would this invalidate my insurance? also what sort of ball park price are you looking at for insuring a 10k print?

Second, if it indeed does go missing then you will obviously keep it to yourself that the window was open and the print had an arrow pointing at it which read "Take me im worth loads". You are insured now i take it? have you read the clauses in your agreement?.

haha, no mate im not looking for a payout and im not insured on it at the moment. im just wondering if it's worth bothering with and where i would stand if there was no sign of any forced entry etc. i also dont trust one of my house mates so what if it was an "inside job" !?
