Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by checkles on Jun 11, 2009 17:36:21 GMT 1, I think where ever this show is it will be worth looking at whether you into Mr B or not.
As for the location fitting with the subject matter , you have to put this in perspective if you knew where this was being held I reckon 90 % of us would be already camping outside, with the other 10% asking us to hold spot ( even without the knowledge of a print release) So I think that Mr B has to be responsible for the Carnage this would cause and think logistically where is the safest place to exhibit so everyone can have a look nothing gets stolen, pandemonium, world war 3 etc.
as for this signaling a move to Museum type work and more upmarket pieces his stuff will go into museums regardless and some of his work already is in permanent archive in the VA.

Not sure I'd love there to be online and raffle at the museum would be the best for me as I prob wont be able to get down there till wednesday

If everything is sold out already they should just make it clear is just an exhibition of work so people know in their minds there is nothing to buy and are not disappointed when they get there and its all sold . . . the art doesn't therefore get its rightful credit as most are bitter they missed out and walk around sulking. its so corrupt this Banksy saga!
Ok, so you know this is the norm for any artist right? There's a first right of refusal to previous buyers and then the preview sale...if the artist is reasonably known, it's likely there will be nothing left for sale at the regular show, that's what the artist hopes for

Might be. I think that a move to be more arty was postulated early on in this roller-coaster rumour-mill show-no-show-show build up.
