If everything is sold out already they should just make it clear is just an exhibition of work so people know in their minds there is nothing to buy and are not disappointed when they get there and its all sold . . . the art doesn't therefore get its rightful credit as most are bitter they missed out and walk around sulking. its so corrupt this Banksy saga! Ok, so you know this is the norm for any artist right? There's a first right of refusal to previous buyers and then the preview sale...if the artist is reasonably known, it's likely there will be nothing left for sale at the regular show, that's what the artist hopes for

Banksy Bristol City Museum Show, by moleman on Jun 11, 2009 20:15:43 GMT 1, i hope all originals low editions are sold friday night and the rest of the show will be a lottery for prints. that way they earn loads leave some for the workers and give cash to charity winner all round. I get what you mean by there should be some for the working class but alot would be on ebay ( which i dought they want) and why would they have a preveiw if nothing was for sale. Every big art show i have been to if your at the back you just go for a look around and some free beer if this is different and you guys at the front get some goodies good luck to you.

It seems to be not what you know but who you know (or how much dollar you have) but that's life really isn't it?!

Personally I am happy to wait to see pics of the show online and make the trip when it gets a bit quieter.

I think your find it is, I saw banksy in comet only the day before yesterday as he bought one o those big yankie barn doors. Said he had to sell an old Kate Moss he'd been holding back for it..

I totally agree but those days can't be recaptured, it's like comparing Postcard Records to EMI, over time the whole situation becomes a different beast. The sentiment can remain but the method of delivery usually changes if you get my drift.
