Prints in Bathrooms..., by taco on Mar 4, 2007 12:44:30 GMT 1, Running out of space in small flat, only bathroom left. Assuming can't hang prints in there coz moisture etc, someone once suggested a plexiglass sandwich frame but I'm not so sure that would work. Any suggestions other that "Keeping it real" and wheatpasting it on...?

How about a Banksy "Soup Can" poster, and get it laminated  should be fine in the bathroom ;D

PS noticed how they have vanished from eBay? Not been any, for over a week? odd!
Have they all gone or are they now like the Paris CD's and pulled straight away?

Prints in Bathrooms..., by corblimeylimey on Mar 4, 2007 18:57:15 GMT 1, Not for your expensive prints, but if you go to your local large format ink jet specialist (one that does exhibition displays etc) you could take something to be mounted on foamex then laminated with a satin finish. Maybe even get something of yours or an image of Banksys printed by them, the rule of thumb is you need an image at 300dpi and whatever the dimensions are at that resolution it'll print out at 4X. or if your image is only 72dpi it will print at the same dimensions.
Not for your expensive prints, but if you go to your local large format ink jet specialist (one that does exhibition displays etc) you could take something to be mounted on foamex then laminated with a satin finish. I got these in the downstairs lav... not quite the bathroom but the frames were £1.50 each from Tesco and the images are printed on photo paper.... cheap and cheerful!

I explored the same issue and was told they can seal the frame if the print is framed to archival standards, but there's no guarantee. Moisture can cause a lot of damage and some of it you won't see like foxing on the corners and edges from expansion of mold and moisture exchange...
