I know it's not online (and therefore probably of no help to you) but I've recently found a fairly large furniture shop near me with dozens upon dozens of huge mirrors in any number of formats (standard rectangles, elongated, round, oval etc. etc.) with the most wicked swept frames I've ever seen - proper wooden too, for virtual peanuts!
I have my eye on one of them with an 8" frame profile and an internal aperture of nearly 3 x 2m as there's a really big piece I have my eye on which would look brilliant in it. The whole thing, incl. bevelled-edge mirror (which can will be sold off) only cost 190 EUR (so about 120 quid).
Don't know why I didn't think of something like this before as I recently bought a much smaller one (although also very nice as it was antique) from a flee market for about 50 quid.
I bet if you look you'll have a furniture place selling similar type mirrors and the like near you.

SWEPT FRAMES, by thwaites on Mar 13, 2008 17:58:14 GMT 1, www.djsimons.co.uk is where we order ours. I wouldn't recommend them for their customer service but they have quite a good selection and the prices aren't too bad (do need to order in bulk to get good prices though).

SWEPT FRAMES, by dogant on Mar 13, 2008 19:34:32 GMT 1, www.arquadia.co.uk They supply the likes of www.4x90.com. I have bought several of their frames (you may need to set up an account). Really cheap and fantastic quality (£60 - £120). It nice to customize them as well.
Cheers Harveyn - what a find
How does it work then - all of these 3 frames started life as gold - you sprayed up the 2 for matt black and gloss black?
Out of interested..what are the ruff cost points on the frames, I had a quick look on the web - no prices unless you join (i think)

SWEPT FRAMES, by Harveyn on Mar 13, 2008 22:34:36 GMT 1, Cosmic/Dogant you can't get a better offer than Gary's. Gary, good to hear from you again. I may have the need for another acrylic frame soon like the yellow one you did for my Neate. Something special arriving next week.

SWEPT FRAMES, by shortcut on Mar 13, 2008 22:42:16 GMT 1, I've heard nothing but praise for Gary's work and what I've seen is great. Sent off a bulk load of work along with a friend's to him last week - can't wait to see how they come back.

SWEPT FRAMES, by craigf on Mar 13, 2008 22:42:24 GMT 1, Hi Gary, I will also be getting in touch again in the near future re getting a HAND and Gold Flag sorted. Just need to stop myself buying more prints and putting some pennies away for framing them
